Jess Diks is an artist and surface pattern designer based in rural prairie Canada. She loves to play with shape and color, and makes her best art when she is making a big mess! Jess is inspired by the beauty of nature and the joy in mundane tasks done well, and approaches her art with playful open mindedness. Most of Jess' current projects start with linocutting and analog ink and paper printing, and are then digitized to be colored and put into repeating patterns. The textures and intentional imperfections give her work an authentic, accessible aesthetic.
